Another dark theme to consider is Bloomberg's

E.g. [link|http://www.bloomberg.com/news/worldwide/|World News].

The contrast is pretty good, but I still think I like their previous style (that didn't have a black background) better. A problem with this style is clicking on a link gives a news story with black text on a white background. If it's good enough for that, why not for the main page?
