New note to all I dont use ANY folders
drag songs onto ther device. It chokes at 80. If I create a folder I can then put more songs there. The player can see all of the songs but the album dataset gets unuseable. No folders 80 sonfs okay. 80 songs plus one folder no album dataset.
thanx,

bill

New Using just like a memory stick?
If so, reformat and have another go.

New I was going to suggest running chkdsk or similar, too.
New That looks eerily familiar.
It *sounds* like you're hitting the file limit in the root directory, but if you were doing that, you wouldn't be able to create the extra folder, either. It looks like the player's firmware has a playlist size limit. Perhaps a firmware upgrade is the go?

Wade.
