As the tale goes, the Repo's were the carriers of tradition, while the Demos's experimented with socialist ideas that were contrary to the rugged self determination that made this country the greatest in the world.

The problem is, we're not the greatest country in the world any more, and probably will not be again. Our infrastructure is crumbling, our education system is becoming a day care center, we can't make any of our consumable stuff except for some food items, our medical system sucks if you're not wealthy, our government is composed of people devoid of the concept of democracy, and we are so far in debt that we will never get out. And we keep getting in wars that can not possibly be won.

That's kind of irritating to a true Repo loyalist. So it's better to ignore these trivial complexities that are clearly somebody else's fault, and focus on those core values that make this country really great. Best in the world really.

Just have to learn what not to see.
