It's a poor workman who blames his tools for lack of performance. There were plenty of tools in place, thanks to Clinton and earlier. That his cronies were incapable of using them, or that the rules required them to function in an allegedly free society, is not the problem of society.

These jerks had to take no more steps than their predecessors. They just weren't very good at it. Their need to avoid oversight was largely to keep from being impeached, given the amount of corruption and cronyism. I understand it too. It has nothing to do with national security. It has a LOT to do with personal security.

People inside the beltway should not have to keep illegal acts secret. That's what we pay them for. I want my money back. They are not doing what they are supposed to.
