#1 Hold your breath. Let the air back up in your lungs and sometimes this cures the hiccups.
#2 Have something scare you. This sometimes resets the muscles that cause the hiccups. A naked picture of Bea Arthur (unless you are into that kind of thing), a video of Bill Gates ruling the Earth, have a friend sneak up on you and tap you on the shoulder when you aren't looking, etc.
#3 Stand on your head and drink water. Not sure why, but this works even if it does sound silly.
