New Tablespoon of sugar
I forget the exact reasoning, but learned about it in biology class. Something to do with relaxing the diaphragm.

And I mean dry. Don't take it in water, or with water.

New Re: Tablespoon of sugar
Whether it was you, or whether it was another scott or whoever the hell, it has stopped. I'd kiss you if I could. I'd kiss the other guy, too. (cough but I'd rather kiss women instead, if you don't mind.)

If ye all did nothing and that made the hiccups stop, I thank ye all. Even if you did nothing, you did something. :=)

New I first read about the 'sugar cure' in Scientific American..
..back in the 70s? I couldn't find the article from thier website, though. Oh, well Something worked, anyway - that's what's important!

New That cure has a 90% success rate for me
Glad it, or something, worked. Hiccups are maddening. :-)

Just be glad you aren't the woman who sneezed every 20 seconds for 7 years. :-)
