Amelie really is a great film. It works on so many levels and the characters are fabulous.

Some claim Dr. Otto is the worst movie ever made. I loved it because it's set in Cincinnati, and because of some of the characters. :-) It helps to be in the mood for a screwball comedy when you see it.

I don't know if he's on Netflix. I would assume that they have some sort of system to share recommendations and that Thane can share his list.
