Plenty of folks sent hin paypal cash to crack fairplay with the idea he would feed it back to tools like hymn.
He cracked it, but didn't give anything back to his benefactors.

Nope... amazingly seems Fairplay is broke.
iTunes v7, yep. Not quite as public as many would want.
I wonder how that happened.

Ummm.
Fairplay for iTunes v7 has been "cracked/made impotent" by someone. BUT, the public availability of the "DRM Removal" code/program is not as public as many would like. Nor is it widely known, except to those that know where to find things like these items. Usual suspects are in play.
So, in other words, if you don't know where it is, don't bother asking.

I know about the choir songbook
but what I see is PC only.
And I'll mirror the fucker on my blog if I find it - I don't give a damn.
But I don't find a Mac version. In fact, I don't find that the DRM is properly cracked (ie - source code exists to open it).
I do find a binary exploit of a windows program. Its only an interceptor hack. I got [link|http://www.rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/|those] all over the place. Too inefficient though. I want a bulk converter.

they didn't crack the algo - they figured out the entry points in the iTunes binaries on the PC to jump to the decrypt stuff.
To do the equivalent on the Mac will require many hours in a debugger looking at asm to work out the equivalent offsets in the binary.
Not likely to happen unless there is a serious Mac cracker out there willing to step through iTunes binary for dozens of hours to work out the equivalent entry points. Otherwise, the source is useless.
