We received a letter from SSA stating that child may be eligible for benefits until she graduates in the spring. Question: Does this negate his requirement to pay child support? Wife wants to know, and I don't know who to ask. Any assistance, direction pointing would be appreciated. fwiw, the amount is negligible. To my wife it's really the principle - HE is supposed to be paying child support... A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Does it releive the ex of paying? No, the money does not come out of his wallet.
