The guys you are talking about were issued an illegal verbal rule of engagement, kill all male civilians between 14 and 60. They followed that to the letter and killed a non combatant. 3 years hard labor and a dishonerable, 5 years and stripped of all rank and pension for the colonel who ordered it and 3 years for the XO who should have known better.
