Cool piece of civil engineering

Not seeing the coolness
Even inside, it's a busy and happening place and the river and various galleries are near by but I don't see coolness.
Matthew Greet
Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? - Mark Renton, Trainspotting.

First, I'm just a fan of massive-scale construction
Second, I think the piece down the leftmost set of tracks looks nearly organic. I like when large projects have to fit into existing spaces. It makes them more interesting.

If you look just...
It looks like a giant 42.

Apparently I can't rotate my head that far
Because I'll be damned if I can find any way of looking at that where I can figure where a "42" would fit.

I see.. I see.. Brazil!
(The Terry Gilliam flic)
..something out of the Air-conditioner closet full of all.. those.. tubes?
But yeah - an imaginitive solution which, I suppose in US, would have been forced into a boring bizness-rectilinear mold, featuring a giant-screen outdoor billboard upon which the title,
Waterloo Station - would be rotated with, General Mills Cheerios Station forever.. to help pay for the project.
Hope to see the New station, sometime.
