New What's a good CD ripper for W2K?
I've got winamp installed and the ogg plugin, but I need a ripper that supports ogg. I'm assuming Grip doesn't do Windows. Any suggestions?

New Look at EAC?
Exact Audio Copy is available for Windows, and supports calling an external encoder automatically. It will automatically set up for LAME (which is what I'm using), but you can go in and modify it.

So if you can call an ogg encoder via the command line, you should be able to get EAC to work.

EAC also supports using cddb or freedb for looking up CD info.

New EAC's ogg calling is ... strange.
The are reports that it works using replacable parameters in the encoder command line, but it didn't work for me. I don't remember what version I tried that with. Make sure you look in the FAQ and do some experiments to be sure.

Don't check "Set ID3 label" because it just adds an (illegal) ID3 tag to the end of the file.
