Spastic Dates on a few foribuses (Main Menu)
On my Moz, Watercooler, Administrivia, Open Forum, News Picks, Jobs, Money F, Test:
all show 2003-12-31 dates, varying hours - all Marked Read (no lerpa-d)
When opened: normal array, lerpa-ds where they should be ...
No sweat - but, this may. well. be. more. sinister. than the mere bagatelle it seems -
Repos honing their l33T propaganda skills for the forthcoming simultaneous invasions of Iran and Tuva?
Perhaps employing famed throat-singers Kaigal-ool Khovalyg and Anatolii Kuular, mentored by K. Rove to ensure that no one can ever quite quote.. specifics within their singing propaganda run-up, - - - in the aftermath of Tuva's blitzkitsch invasion of DC, the daylight capture of the Q Bomb and their humiliating inversion of the Washington Monument -- placed on the WH lawn, between two large spherical objects, painted red.

The server rebooted last night...
As has been noted recently, knight is not set up to run ntpdate upon boot-up. Also, it's on-board clock is non-functional. So, when it boots, it loses track of time.
I logged into the machine at about oh-dark-thirty Central Time last night and updated its time. I noticed at the time that the machine had been up for 3 hours and 55 minutes at that time. So it rebooted -- for whatever reason -- around 8:30 pm Central. Any browsing done between those two times would have produced erroneous timestamps, ergo readings of over 130,000 LpH and a few hundred current users.

Did all posts posted at that time get lost?
I can't seem to find the thread where I told Jake what version of vi I had. I thought it was in the Jobs forum. The whole thread seems to be gone. I'll look again though.
Edit: Weird, I went all the way back to February and don't see it. The title had screwed in it, I'll do a site search.

You can find them by site search
If you posted anything between 8 and whenever last night and lost your posts, all they did was time travel back to 12/31/2003. So all you have to do, if you remember something about the thread they are in, is do a site search and you can bring up the thread. Then if you edit it, it will reappear in the right place.
I just did that with the I am SCREWED thread by Broomberg, to get my reply to Jake to show up.
You probably already all know this will work, but I thought I'd mention it anyway in case anyone didn't know how to find posts they made during the time warp. ;)
