If he had marked the forum read shortly before the downtime -- which I suspected he may have -- then my new post would have a timestamp prior to the flag. In other words, he clicks "Mark Read" at 6 p.m. The server goes down, and comes back up at 6:05, but the clock says it's 5:47. I post.
