Realized last night: Wikipedia is like torture
You don't really want to trust it too far, and you definitely don't want to cite it as a source in court. But it's right enough often enough that it's a good bet to get you pointed in the right direction for some real research pretty quickly.

Yup. It's a decent place to find links to original sources.
But if you're willing to take an article on faith and not use critical thinking or check sources, it can be little better than the Uncyclopedia. Its [link|http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Elephants|elephants] entry says: A carnivorous flightless bird similar to the hamster but bigger and more conservative. White, grey, pink, or baby blue in colour, they have razor-sharp teeth and a long, prehensile feeding tentacle that they use to suck the internal revenue from their public.
Elephants come in four sizes: African, Indian, Jumbo, and Vente. Their natural habitat extends from the African veldt to the jungles of Peru. Difficult to capture and domesticate, elephants are occasionally used as beasts of burden, paperweights, or doorstops.
Despite repeated efforts by the International Monetary Fund to end the practice, elephants are still legal tender in Indonesia and Bhutan. And so forth. :-) Cheers, Scott.

Uncyclopedia: It's So Funneh!
In a "like cancer or radiation poisoning" kind of way.
Elephants are flightless?
Well, thank god I wore my corset today, for I fear that otherwise my sides may have split.

Mental image: Petah in a corset
Now where's querky with her snide "steel brush" comment?
Unless she likes the image of Petah in a corset.

jb4 "So don't pay attention to the approval ratings that say 68% of Americans disapprove of the job this man is doing. I ask you this, does that not also logically mean that 68% approve of the job he's not doing? Think about it. I haven't." — Stephen Colbert, at the White House Correspondent's Dinner 29Apr06
