whats in /etc/resolv.conf?
should be your dns servers.
if your not using dhcp, you may need to set them manually.

search domain.actdsltmp\nnameserver 192.168.15.1
That's the same DNS server as is set for my Windows partition.
Hurt me if you must, but let the duckie go!
Linux equivalent of 'ipconfig /flushdns'?
