Post #263,133 by inthane-chan 7/31/06 2:14:38 AM Reply	Reboot doesn't clear it. The problem started last weekend when my Linksys RTP300 started acting squirrely for both Windows and Linux. Basically, as long as I statically assigned the IP address the Linksys was using, neither Windows nor Linux could resolve anything. As soon as I set it to get it's primary address via DHCP, then did a 'ipconfig /flushdns' under Windows, the Windows partition worked fine. However, the Linux partition (after several reboots) still gets squirrely address information. I can't get to Z, or several other sites. However, apt-get update;apt-get upgrade seems to work just fine. Go figure. Hurt me if you must, but let the duckie go!
Post #263,135 by static 7/31/06 2:25:19 AM Reply	Sounds like your LinkSys has the problem. If you change your /etc/resolv.conf file to point to a Known Good DNS server (run one yourself if necessary), does the problem go away? Wade. "Insert crowbar. Apply force."
