I know exactly what you meant. If you check my post a little south of here you'll see we have plenty of newly rejected Muslim women in Los Angeles - and special women's help centers serving them.

They're culturally very conservative and have a real hard time giving up the tent and scarf. They've been kept in isolation as much as possible and lack education and any skills beyond Mideast household - so I'm not sure what happens to them. I guess that's what the women's help centers are for, but social services tend to be inadequate in this country.

Mideast men are mostly stinking shit, and they're getting rich running the porn industry out in the Valley (the U.S. center for porn) and various real estate scams. I have no sympathy for them here and I have none for them in the Mideast.

I seriously doubt Muslim women in the U.S. can have much effect on Islam outside this country. They're viewed as run-aways and cast-offs living in the bowels of the Great Satan - somewhat lower than camel dung in the eyes of right thinking Muslims elsewhere. As long as the men can just go home and get another one they have little standing with them either.

Not at all a good place to be - but better than where they came from.
