Losers like those two need a severe Slashdot flamefest to put them in their place.
I've worked for one manager who was almost identical to the one first responding to the column, and I KNOW for a fact that were are peope who threatened to quit immediately rather than work for him when they discovered that they were re-orged to be his subordinates. Managers like him can be poison to your career and good mental health.
