i'm getting ready to switch desktops. To beat all, the lapper only has 128M of ram. Gnome is driving this machine into the ground.

New Konq. & Samba isn't much better.
When I need to, I use smb4k to locate and mount smb shares.

You use XFCE4, though, don't you? I thought that integrated with samba well?
