No workee!
What's the trick? All I get is a nice, empty Firefox window with the word "Done" in the status bar on the lower left. Is there a plug-in needed here? (Firefox doesn't say so...)

Do you have image animation disabled?

No
Although I cannot find that setting on Firefox's unnecessarily unintuitive options dialog. I have had other animations come up just fine....

Works here with FF 1.5.0.4
Are you using a proxy? Privoxy would prevent such things from running for me, IIRC.

Well, I'm trying it on my work machine...
...And Large Giant Corp has rules (although I havent tripped the dreaded "Blocked!" nastygram with the link).
I'll try it at home tonight.

What are you trying it on?
When I loaded it in using Firefox for Windows it just about killed my machine and the computer pretty much froze until it was done loading. With Firefox on Linux it loaded instantly.

It is CPU intensive
It overloads my laptop at home, but my work computer plays it smoothly. Both are running Firefox on Ubuntu.

P-III 600 meanders at 65-75%cpu but - -
'Course that's vanilla 98SE - mebbe with all the perpetual busywork in >9.x - you need that 2+ Ghz kittypower?
Baseline for all else opened sans the .gif, wanders 0-12% Oh.. that 65-75 is if you rt-click and select 'view background image'. Full-screen == pins at 100% - but no crashies.
Ha! fun with Benchmarks; regular ones are so boring - will check it out later on Moz / Puppy Linux and others, on 1.2 GHz AMD.
Love. It. Sent --> onwards.

Re: What are you trying it on?
Some steroided Dell box, 3GHz Xeon, 2GB ram , 2 large HDs. It doesn't appear to be stalling, just doesn't do anything....
