Yes, it is poorly done

But I have a method of dealing with it.

Middle click about 20 of the entries.
Then Ctrl->PgDn though the newly opened tabs.
Have the mouse pointer over the {{Close Tab}} red X.
I use a large trackball, so it stays in the exact position on clicks.

Read, click close, read, click close, ...
