Zarqarwi reported killed in air strike.
[link|http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/08/AR2006060800114_pf.html|Washington Post]: Thursday, June 8, 2006; 8:12 AM
BAGHDAD, June 8 --Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the mastermind behind hundreds of bombings, kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq, was killed Wednesday evening by an air strike northwest of Baghdad, U.S. and Iraqi officials said Thursday.
Zarqawi, a Jordanian-born high-school dropout whose leadership of the insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq made him the most wanted man in the country, was killed along with seven aides near the city of Baqubah, the officials said. It's good news, but ... Cheers, Scott.

Ya know...
...after all the fist-pumping and high-fiving and belly-bumping, after all the chickenhawks congratulate themselves on their "insight" in "staying the course", after all the Rushes and Coulters and Bennets and Bellings and their ilk wax poetic about the might and skill of the Murican Military, after the Chimp-in Chief mumblefucks his way through the interminable self-agrandizing speeches and pronouncements stumbling on every third syllable, after the Marlowes of the world dislocate their shoulders patting themselves on the back about how they "helped the effort"...after all this....
It's still a good thing.
jb4 "So don't pay attention to the approval ratings that say 68% of Americans disapprove of the job this man is doing. I ask you this, does that not also logically mean that 68% approve of the job he's not doing? Think about it. I haven't." — Stephen Colbert, at the White House Correspondent's Dinner 29Apr06

Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? - Mark Renton, Trainspotting.

Well, now we know
Must have required lots of firmware mods to assimilate the reversal of all those smug Predictions / nasty imprecations; eat all that Certainty - and pretend it's the Same bot-set as the original 12th Century model.
Computers are so.. so malleable (but they'll never have personality, of course.)

An "October Surprise" has to be in October....
Lessee, the Marriage amendment didn't go anywhere. The Death Tax bill didn't pass today. The Flag amendment probably won't pass either. Immigration Reform looks like it isn't going to pass both houses.
The Republicans will need something big in October to try to avoid a bloodbath at the polls. What'll they do? I'd look for a special announcement from the administration regarding troop levels in Iraq around October 30.
That's assuming the hurricane season is a mild one...
Cheers, Scott.

Nope... too many corners
You turn 4 of them and you're back where you started. I think we may be at 8 or 12... divisible by 4, anyway.
