I can lift 50,000 pounds with a long enough, strong enough rope, a strong enough mounting point, and enough strong pulleys. :-/ Either he had some sort of mechanical advantage or the number is wrong. Either way, he didn't lift 2000 pounds with his legs.
Compare Pat with [link|http://www.americanpowerliftevolution.net/PaulAndersonPage4.html|Paul Anderson].

While there's some dispute about whether he backlifted [link|http://209.204.62.73/SportsLibrary/IGH/IGH0701/IGH0701e.pdf|6270 pounds] (6 page .pdf) in 1957, there's no doubt he was extremely strong and he didn't come close to leg-lifting 2000 pounds. His legs were 36" around.
OBTW, Pat's physician has done [link|http://www.cbn.com/communitypublic/legpress_explanation.asp|2700 pounds] so Pat doesn't have the record. :-/
IOW, it's more of the same from Pat and his handlers.
Cheers, Scott.

Super Best Friend with the power to leg press 2000 lbs!
If I was going to believe his god grants Pat Robertson super powers, I'd imagine it was something more useful than leg pressing large weights. I thought curing the incurable was the standard power for prophets.

Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? - Mark Renton, Trainspotting.
