I've yet to have anybody show me it can >update< a library when changes are made outside of iTunes. Tried it, get dupes and have to trash and rebuild the library. However, if you use that screwdriver to start pounding nails, you're going to be disappointed with the results. What iTunes works like on Windows isn't something that keeps me up at nights. Most of the free players have the ability to "update" that iTunes lacks.
