Miserable rainy day.

Opens at 10AM. I was there at 9:30. Flea market was empty. Maybe 20 vendors - 5 of which had enough covering to shows their wares.

I quickly ran around to each one, scouting out for keyboards.

When I found a box'o'boards, I'd ask how much. Never would ask for the specific IBM keyboard unless they showed none.

Last covered vendor - had a box. Dell was first.
Then: Paydirt!

Me: How much for the keyboards?
Him: $1 each.
(yes!)

7 boards! A few keys were missing but I have extras at home.

Me: Can I take the box to carry them?

Took it back to the car.
Did a final pass.

Found a vendor with a small version - missing the numeric keyboard. I prefer these since they will fit in a keyboard drawer along with a trackball.

Me: How much?
Him: $3
Me: I'll take it.

Took them home.

Swapped keys and tested. 7 perfect, one with a slightly sticky space bar and
a missing shift key. It'll fix up fine.

On Monday I start in a new building for me. I'm maintaining my office, though, so I need to setup new Linux PCs, etc. So I really needed a few new keyboards.

Perfect timing.
Plus, I gave Barb one and I'll give my sysadmin one.

The 1/2 hour drive and entrance price were well worth it.
