Mucho impressed with the install, 5 minutes 3 questions then 94 meg download in 14 minutes for updates and online. Now I would like to use the network to transfer files from /Users/boxley on machine a to $HOME/boxley on MacMini. I remember Todd saying somthing about how standard nix like tar doesnt work well. If the iMac has Firewire, you should be able to boot it (holding down the T key) into Target disk mode, turning it into an external Firewire drive. Plug it into the Mini, let it mount and drag 'n' drop. Post #250,203 by boxley 3/31/06 7:55:21 AM Reply	might try that, Im running into weird permission issues with appletalk. somehow the username/Library/Safari/* all got owned as root even though I was logged in as the user when I copied it. Safari didnt want to run till I blew that subdirectory away.
