The timing of it seemed calculated to whip up terrorist hysteria to higher levels that 9/11 achieved. who ever did it achieved their goals as it played out on national & international TV for longer that 9/11 did. Sure got people paranoid - remember the opening an empty delivered box & keeling over dead, story that appeard from one of our own her in iwethey ?. I am sure the anthrax perps will never be identified or found because they are not meant to be. just my 01c worth. Cheers D Doug Marker

But if it came from a US Military lab, then they had to have someone sell it to terrorists, or the terrorists stole it somehow. Anthrax isn't supposed to be that easy to get. They can also trace it via genetic fingerprints in the DNA of the virus. One thing is for sure, it did harm and even kill people. If it was meant to scare, to force tougher laws against terrorism, and it was done by a government group just to make it look like we need to pass tougher laws, then what is the difference between real terrorists and the government officials who may have done this evil deed? But could there be some single, disgruntled member of one of these groups? Sure. But then, if these groups can't keep better track of their people and their poisons, does it really matter if this was an "official" policy decision or not? Remember, before this all started, we didn't know just how effective anthrax was. The package that was sent through the mail was sufficiently sealed based on what we knew about anthrax to keep it from leaking through the package - it was only after the package was discovered that we found out just how effective the stuff was. In addition, the letter detailed that anthrax was contained in the package, and that the people exposed should probably take antibiotics immediately. The powder was, apparently, treated to maximize airborne dispersal - whoever sent it probably expected more deaths. Either that or one of the government workers is selling Anthrax to terrorist groups? If the "Officials" gave orders to spread the Anthrax, you know that those orders would be shreaded by now.
