New Saw it

Thoughts:
It's tough to watch a thriller where you don't care about the lead.
Harrison Ford is getting way too old for these kinds of movies.
Virginia Madsen deserves better. (Though she still has the most beautiful eyes...)
Overall surprisingly pedestrian.
Tom Sinclair

Mal: Gotta say, Doctor your talent for alienatin' folks is near miraculous.
Simon: Yes, I'm very proud.
- 'Safe', Firefly
New well it helps support us old fart's illusions

New Indeed! :)

When fascism comes to America, it'll be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross. -- Sinclair Lewis
New Good point

But Ford spends the bulk of the movie in a sort of exhausted daze, which is sometimes painful to watch.
Tom Sinclair

Mal: Ship like this, be with you till the day you die.
Zo: Because it's a death trap.
Mal: That's not You are very much lacking in imagination.
Zo: I imagine that's so, sir.
- 'Out of Gas', Firefly
New well the premise of the movie is to take joe regular
and thru systemic pressure get him to do things he wouldnt normally do. That requires an exhaustive daze standard OPs planning. See Patty Hearst, cults, brainwashing 101 et al.
thanx,
bill

New Okay, so my question is... (POSSIBLE SPOILER)
Does he really beat someone to death with a blender?

I've read some things about it already that classify it as a movie I should probably wait to see on DVD, but I have to know about the blender, ok? I hate not knowing when people are kidding on David Letterman.

New Sigh... Re-read Rand's post; wasn't that blender enough?
New Re: Sigh... Re-read Rand's post; wasn't that blender enough?
Nope, cause it doesn't really happen.

It's okay though, I searched and read dozens of reviews and finally found my answer to the blender question.

I think this movie is waiting till DVD for me.
