Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Crossing the line.
I need a "new" notebook PC, as I'll be taking a creative writing class next quarter, and I'd like something that I can use specifically for writing. I've always had Mac Lust (or more specifically, OSX lust - mmm, NEXTStep or however the fuck it's capitalized), and I want something lightweight and not too big. Cheap is a big advantage as well; I really don't want to go over $500.

Not knowing the Mac world at all, I don't know what counts as a good deal. This doesn't have to play the latest games; just run OSX at a reasonable speed and be relatively lightweight - 14" is probably the sweet spot for me.

Any suggestions?
When somebody asks you to trade your freedoms for security, it isn't your security they're talking about.
