Have just reading a book about this and many other things

Fascinating book, easy to read, and well worth it. I guess it's angle is that Murphy's Law is basically all in your head, and how you perceive things. But it also has lots of interesting insights into how the brain works, and why. It's a great introduction - anyone who knows lots about the brain would probably find it less than useful. Well worth a read if you're remotely interested in this kind of thing.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
