New The idea that our law'n'order
party could be proud of breaking the law and wants to prosecute whistleblowers is simply amazing...

New Equally amazing
that the party that protects the "little guy" would end up supporting property theft (oh sorry..."eminent domain") for their friends to build malls.

New Well...to give Bush credit...
he is taking responsibility for it. He has admitted now that he personally authorized the wiretaps.

The next couple of questions get interesting though - can the President authorize those wiretaps? (Certain John Yoo, White House Counsel thought so....but then again, John Yoo thought the President could torture also.)

I'm not sure what happens next.

Violating the laws of the land? Impeachment, of course!

New Sure they were.
I'd love to know if they were 'informed' of [link|http://www.southcoasttoday.com/daily/12-05/12-17-05/a09lo650.htm|this crap]. But then, that'd be a (Police) State Secret, needed to protect our poor civilians against knowledge - er, terrorism.

New I thought it was a spoof
I had opened it up in another frame, and forgot about it being linked to you post.

Holy shit.

Efficiency.. saves duplication of content.

New :-)
New Oddly enough (to my ears, anyway) - 'impeachment'
was actually mentioned by some local talking head, when I happened to switch by for weather.

Have rarely heard the pro-forma cops n' carwreck blatherers come close to a mention, before. Switche around - another one of these quoted the congresscritter who remarked, President Bush is not King Bush ...)

Refreshing, though 4 years late. Probably doesn't mean a thing. By Monday, back to Zzzzzzzz / shop! / zzzzz

New You fuel!
What the fuck is wrong with you people?!? Don't you know that any fucking thing is fully sanctioned, permissible, and even de rigeur, including the complete destruction of the Constitution, if it can be said that it will, "save American lives", withouut having your tongue stuck so far into your cheek that it looks like you're eating a $1 jaw breaker? Just ask Der Berk! Fuck, the sumbitch was positivle insensed in his "alternate radio address" that someone in that left-wing, librul press thingy would dare to inform the Eloi American citizens that such a endavor was taking place, much less suggest that it might actually be illegal! OF course it's legal, dammit! Fuckhead Berk-boy says, and therefor it is. You do not dare to question him, because Godh has said he is to smite the terrierists, and Goddammit, that means any possible wild-assed idea that pops into his (handlers') heads is by definition legal! Get a fuckin' clue, will you?!? He is the fucking President, goddammit, and what he says goes!

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow

New Given the makeup of the house....
I don't think impeachment is an option at this point.

But it may make the 06 elections far more critical.
