They had a TV tuner and intercepted your mouse and keyboard so you could control the TV and PiP even without software (SW came in OS/2 and Windows 16 versions).

A place of employment long ago wired up several floors of the building with coax and rolled these out to every (yes they ran OS/2!) machine so the employees could watch internally developed content (training, seminars, conference talks) over our own little cable TV system. Unplugging the coax and using rabbit ears instead meant I could watch the World Cup games over spanish-language UHF right on my computer... streaming wireles content!
