Is it totally out of the question that he might be debated because he just might be suspected of being an ideologue, somewhat to the right of Gengis Khan, with an agenda? Just because he's not an incompetent crony doesn't necessarily mean that he should automatically be allowed to run rampant, should he? Hell, I'm not an incompetent crony, and I shouldn't be a supreme court justice either. If the nitwit in chief is really trying to be a uniter rather than a divider, he might try nominating a centerist that both sides could agree on. I don't expect this will happen.
