Welcome to IWETHEY!

New 1. This isn't new.
Why is it somehow more offensive now than against Clinton? He was assumed guilty (by the opposition) over any wild-assed charge that could be brought against him! Public accusations were made by theright wing media constantly, and given 'play' across country.

2. If Delay WAS 'presumed guilty' he'd be in jail now. Are you objecting to accusations? That people don't believe he's guilty before legal action occurs? Especially as the current junta hasn't shown themselves to be a particularly trustworthy lot? Yeah, there's corruption on both side of the fence - but the current clowns in office would disturb Sam Clemens, and he was the one that said: "there is no distinctively native American criminal class except Congress", and "Only a government that is rich and safe can afford to be a democracy, for democracy is the most expensive and nefarious kind of government ever heard of on earth".

Imric's Tips for Living
  • Paranoia Is a Survival Trait
  • Pessimists are never disappointed - but sometimes, if they are very lucky, they can be pleasantly surprised...
  • Even though everyone is out to get you, it doesn't matter unless you let them win.

Nothing is as simple as it seems in the beginning,
As hopeless as it seems in the middle,
Or as finished as it seems in the end.

New Yep.
It was sad then, and its sad now.

I don't consider it any more or less offensive now than I did then.

Both guys deserve the attention...they earned it.

Difference between...Bill kept his job.

New DeLay still has a job

New True
But I didn't see Bill take the equvalent demotion. Kind of the point I was making

But its not like I care about it.

They got one. Turnabout is fair play.

it gets worse, well I do, but I don't mean it that way.
Unless you thought I meant the opposite of what I meant,
in which case vice versa
(or verce visa if you prefer)."

New Hey.. 'on the other hand' isn't even a 'position'
to defend or demolish - it's just a catalog of imaginary opposites. Why, one might as well say,

..whatever.

Hmmm - Orthogonal Contrarian?
Start a Party. With a dbase of opposites.
Many will join. ADM and maybe PNAC will fund?

New Simply tired
of inflated egos bolstering post counts with vast oversimplifications of imagined positions posted in semi-foreign tongue.

New Semi? ;-)
New "Fair play"
This is a game? Give me a break. Delay is one of the most corrupt of all members of congress if not the most corrupt. Fair play my ass.

George W. Bush and his PNAC handlers sent the US into Iraq with lies. I find myself rethinking my opposition to the death penalty.
