Should be the end for DeLay

Even if DeLay manages to wiggle his way out of a conviction, he has so many problems right now that his political reputation should be shot. And I don't think the prosecuters would have charged DeLay unless they felt they had a sold case against him.

Given the length of time the prosecuters held off charging him, I suspect they where waiting till they managed to turn one of the lower ranked people in the scheme.
