A year ago their $16,000 Dell horked the RAID array on the second channel causing "significant data problems". I tossed together a little Athlon box with two 80-Gig drives in a couple of hours and the software guy flew out from Florida to get them back up. They've been running on that temp server ever since.

I built them a dual Xeon with two RAID arrays, redundant power and the works. Big box on wheels. It sat in my living room for nearly a year because I knew what a hassle it would be dealing with the software vendor.

Since stuff had to be rebuilt anyway it was a perfect time to deliver that server and get the system up on it. Finally got to invoice that sucker. Of course it runs circles around that Dell for 1/3 the price.
