(web stats question) Today I went over to the web traffic statistics page for ubersoft.net and saw a new entry in the Usage Statistics report that wasn't there yesterday. This interests me because it's debuting at #10: 475 0.04% [link\|http://www.emuparadise.org/help/CuteFTP/\|http://www.emuparadise.org/help/CuteFTP/] Now .04% of the traffic to my site isn't a particularly big percentage, but I went over to that link and, hey, there's no mention of ubersoft.net at all, whatsoever. No link, nothing. So apparently someone or some people were looking at that page and immediately went to my site just on a whim. That seems rather odd to me. It amuses me that apparently it's a download site that dabbles in... erhm... software obtained and redistributed in a manner in which the authorities would not approve. Go directly to emuparadise.org to see their "terms of service." :D Anyway, it just seemed completely out of left field, and I wondered if any of the rest of you who keep up web sites have encountered something similar. have you?
