when your first several choices are colorado, arkansas your milage rate is going to be way off. Conversely if you get border states, and several aligned states your original milage losses shrink rapidly.

New My first 7 were that way.
Colorado, South Dakota, West Virginia, Arkansas, Iowa, Utah, New Hampshire.
