If so, note well that current versions of OpenVMS have two kinds of DECNet - Phase IV, which is straightforward, and Phase V, which is not.

To complicate matters further, DECNet Phase V has an emulation mode for DECNet Phase IV, so you always have to check if what you're talking to really does Phase IV or if it's just a Phase V box playing dumb.

New Well we are using FTAM and OSI on DEC to get and put files
They want to use Solaris instead so will have to figger out how the DEC is currently doing stuff and match it on the Sun.
