I got it, it seems to work well in a windows environ. DHCP, IPX, NET*, blah blah... works Okies. No throughput tests though.(yet)

Now, haven't tried a LINUX machine yet.

BTW, it comes with a 4" pigtail to take the strain off the USB port.

NDIS5 compliant driver and all.

It's limited to 12 Meg max throughput.

Also how much of a CPU drain is this going to add. Sure, I know that CPUs have gotten fast enough that I shouldn't have to worry about it, but it seems that a lot of components that we used to depend on taking care of themselves, are starting to push their tasks onto the CPU these days. No wonder why we have to keep pushing up the processor speed, we keep making them do more work than they really need to.

New USB 2.0 high speed is 480 Mbits/sec.
USB 1.1 was 12 Mbits/sec.
