At least that's how I saw him and really don't care to remember the actual name of the character. Mr. Cool works as a dockloader in NYC and is your typical 'cool' person: He's good looking, rude, sellfish and gives uncool people the brushoff. It's OK, tho, other people in the movie exist to be uncool and thus it's OK for cool people to brush them off. He also makes some anti-union cracks, which I would not expect from a real dockworker, but given that cruise and spielberg are millionaires I guess union bashing seems perfectly normal to them. He's shown using union rules to give his boss a brush-off when his boss is asking him to work overtime that he doesn't want to work because he needs to spend time with his kids. I'd actually call that a pro-union incident.
