Thanks all...
...I've been offline for awhile. Both my little brother and my Mom past away within six weeks of each other in unrelated events. And, my kid was in an auto accident over Mothers Day weekend. Not a good year thus far...
Here's hoping my next b'day will be less eventful.

...My sympathies...
I don't know what else to say.
I hope your kid was OK.
I hope you get a decent year.
I hope your birthday wishes come true.

Sorry to hear
Sucks when they come in waves like that.
Things will improve, sounds like you're due.

FWIW, more good thoughts from across the pond.
Pop back in here a bit more often -- you have to, so we can cheer you up!
Also, tell that naughty young lady to come here and get hugs and scoldings (in about equal measure) for recklessly upsetting her mother -- not to mention scaring all her online honorary uncles.
