Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Thanks box.
I wish TF I knew how to config memory on the AS/400. But maybe the goobs we have under contract know about that foo. At least you gave me something to ask them.

New wrksyssts
BUT - most systems are set up to adjust automatically.

Check the system values (wrksysval) - you might look at qbaspool, qmaxactlvl, qmaxjob, qmchpool, and the automatic adjustment flag, qpfradj.

I dunno whether that'll help, but...

New Ours is set to adjust automatically.
I'm doing a tcpdump of all traffic from the tomcat host to the iSeries and from the tomcat host to the browsers. I'm hoping this thing will break soon.

Thanks for the info. Say, wanna move to the great frozen tundra of NE Indiana?

New *chuckle* Nah
Though the weather would prolly suit me better than Georgia's. One of the reasons I stayed here when the contract was done is that the team I'm working with really is a team. They are all really good at their jobs, and we all work (and play) together. Really.

My boss is technically capable, and, when he first came on, took the time to learn what we are each good at. He then lets us do our jobs with minimal interferance; he trusts our expertise, and knows when to keep his hands off. It's been a long time since I've had a work environment like this; I'm loathe to give it up.

Finally, I'm allowed to administer the '400 as I see fit; to top it off, I get to do some programming from time to time!

(you guys probably figured this out; it's been a long time since I've come to the forum crying in my beer...)

New Don't blame you.
It's a good place to work, but winter from October through April with no NHL really sucks. ;0)
