I call "BULLSHIT" to their comment. I've had 6 phone or face-to-face interviews in the past 5 weeks. In each case I've been rejected for:

1. Not having all of the skills that they're looking for.

2. Not enough experience with the skills that I have relative to what they want.
Example = 2 1/2 years DBA; they want minimum of 4 or 5 years.

3. Wasn't local to the company.

4. Want too much money.

Could/would you change careers.

Could/would you take on multiple jobs.

Could/would you become a consultant.

Could/would you take a pay cut.

Doesn't indicate whether you'll find another position within the same industry.

I'm seriously screwed if/when this position terminates. :-(
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail ... but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"

Yes I would, if I can find something that pays me enough to live on out on my own while covering the monthly alimony.

Sure, as long as they're in the same part of town; commuting 1 hour between each job guarantees a life without sleep and IWETHEY.

Done that twice already; trying to do it again.

Facing that right now. Recruiter called this morning with a job that pays $35 - $50K for 3 years experience with VB6, SQL Server and ASP -- was I interested in being submitted?
