You don't make CSM in less than 10 years, usually between 15-20 years. For the uninitiated: AD - Active Duty USAR - United States Army Reserve CSM - Command Sergeant Major NG - National Guard (Unless otherwise stated, Army National Guard) A good friend will come and bail you out of jail ... but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"

That outrage intensified the resistance! and while Berkeley was ~~ Ground Zero and hardly typical of US towns, cities - it's clear in hindsight that it Was the "resistance" of eventually, millions -- and not the cowardly Congress -- which forced the ending. (Hard to tell what the denouement would have been like though, sans Watergate - what with Tricky Dick dragging heels over 'peacewithhonor cha cha cha' and similar bafflegab we always hear from Pols in deep denial). Victory gardeners turned into country club residents.
