New so you have some sales skills...
to land a job for which you have no experience? neat trick. good on ya.

I've worked construction as an electrician's helper. It isn't so bad. More agreeable to me than other trades at any rate.

I think they are simply desperate for decent C++ programmers, and willing to take a risk on teaching one business side.
