Gnutella isn't the most reliable network out there, I have no clue about your networks errors, but the server disconnects are just something you're going to have to deal with, most people don't care you're downloading when they shut down their computers.

Gnutella is useless unless you're looking for MP3s/P0rn/WaRez, and I wouldn't download any kind of software from it. For all anyone knows, it could have a trojan in it. Besides, going to Redhat's ftp site would be much more reliable.
