Dunno who frequents Ch 4 in your bailiwick; guessing it's the <25s (since tastes are likely to be a bit wider ranging above that general age group).

Is there a wide selection of older flicks (including lots more than just Hollywood) at video rental places in UK? If there is, then this ignorance of the last century's dozens of superior works seems to confirm an experience of only the glossy. Sad enough.

(I wonder what a US survey of watchers of similar demog. would show? Is there now a Dumbth gap or is this universal? :(
