Sleepless last night myself
Back pain - couldn't sleep.
Luckily I had the option to take the day, my 'must do' stuff I could do from home.
My sympathies.

So I'm draining the bed
And I start peeling the mattress up.
I had not unplugged the heater.
As I pull the mattress off the heater, it sparks and burns a hole in the liner and the mattress. The matress one does not go all the way through.
Hmmm.
A bit of packing tape should take care of this.

Sure I'm sure
The one in the mattress isn't a hole, more like a spot
where the plastic from the liner touched it.
I put tape over it to reinforce it anyway.

Get a bicycle inner tube repair kit
those work just as well and are cheaper than the repair kits sold in waterbed stores
